Getting together to recognise industry-wide work
"Taking the opportunity on National Day for Staff Networks to celebrate the incredible staff network groups both internally within rail industry organisations and cross-industry networks for the altruistic work that they do industry-wide.
On Monday, we invited internal staff network groups from organisations that will form Great British Railways (GBR) next year, to RSSB's London office, with the purpose of connecting those that weren't already connected and encouraging everyone to collaborate even more than they already do, as well as be involved in shaping the future of internal networks as we head towards GBR.
Overall, we have had great feedback from the event. We will be sharing outputs with these networks soon and will continue to support these fabulous people with the amazing work that they do, all as volunteers. If anyone who is a Co-Chair from an internal staff network from Network Rail or a Train Operator that will be part of GBR, and did not know about this event, do send me a direct message and I will make sure that we add you onto a Co-Chair contact list.
For all those on industry networks, I will continue to collaborate with you as Co-Chair of Rail Unites for Inclusion as we have done over the years.
You are all inspiring people, and I look forward to continuing to create opportunities for us to work together like this and to continue to make a difference with you all as we head towards Great British Railways.
There are so many people to thank for this event, but I'm running out of space in the post. You know who you are but will mention some key people - @Andrea Hayes from RSSB who was an amazing host, our great Exec Sponsor for the event - Rob Mullen and all those that helped organise, present, facilitate and note take during breakouts - Claire Allen, @Jon Payne, Andrea H., Tim Milford, Orisha Blissett-Ffrench, paula zazzeroni, Joy S., Sonia L Hazel, Dante Frederick Carter Goodby BEM, Raye Fullard, Sam Assoc. CIPD, Vicky Jones Assoc CIPD, Bhargavi Padhya, Hema Patel, Mandy O'Donovan. Tracey Barber. I really appreciate all your support. Sorry if I missed anyone but a huge thank you to everyone that attended, for all your contributions and for making the day memorable.
Below are some photos from the event including a big group photo with most of the attendees standing at the back of the room as well as group photos from the table exercises, photos of the organisers, speakers and finally photos of networks from organisations taking their group photos together"
