White Ribbon Day 2026
The rail industry is coming together for White Ribbon Day 2026 through the Art of Survival campaign, a collaborative initiative led by BTP, Network Rail, Rail Delivery Group and train operators. The campaign aims to raise awareness of violence against women and girls (VAWG), amplify survivor voices, encourage allyship, and inspire meaningful action across the industry.
Building on the message that “It Takes All of Us”, the campaign recognises that VAWG affects colleagues, customers and communities, and highlights the rail industry's responsibility to create safer workplaces and public spaces.
Local teams are encouraged to work together to host exhibitions, creative workshops, storytelling sessions and community events during the UN’s 16 Days of Activism, which begins on 25 November. Activities will provide opportunities for survivors, supporters and allies to share experiences through art and discussion while promoting the White Ribbon Promise and positive allyship.
Under the banner “One industry. Local action. Lasting change.”, the campaign seeks to unite rail organisations in driving long-term cultural change, with success measured through engagement, collaboration, feedback and White Ribbon Ambassador and Champion sign-ups.
